Two things worth knowing.
Don't force a seized lock. If a shed, trailer or boat lock hasn't been turned since last season and won't move now, forcing it snaps the key inside — which turns a service job into an extraction plus a replacement, for the sake of two seconds of impatience.
Trailer security is worth more thought than it usually gets. Coupling locks and wheel clamps are the difference between a boat that's still there in the morning and one that isn't, and a lot of what's sold in that category is decorative.
