Tallebudgera runs from the creek mouth up into the valley, and the further up you go the less it behaves like a suburb. Acreage blocks, long driveways, sheds set well back from the house, and holiday accommodation scattered through it.
A few things follow from that.
The house is rarely the whole job. There's a road gate, a shed, sometimes a workshop or a stable, and each was locked at a different time by a different person. Ian carries the gear to key the lot properly.
